Part 4 – Task Images

Part 5 – Critical Rationale

The first time I read Raimundas Malasauskas’ task I thought myself quite lucky in terms of how easy the task originally sounded, however it turned out to be the most difficult to complete. With Raimundas being more of a curator than a photographer I found it hard to think of the images for the portrait and style. I found out that he had done a famous exhibition that is done hypnotized giving me the idea for his portrait. For the task image itself I had to find a way to only capture one clapping hand, which was harder than it sounds as it normally takes two hands to clap. Eventually I came up with the idea to Photoshop the image giving the illusion that there are two hands when only one can be seen.

Doing this assignment has helped me to think outside the box when it comes to things that sound easy in concept but turn out to be a bit more complicated. There where many different ways in which I could have represented this task and I will continue to look into them.
